JEKURMON: My full name is Idea Michael Segun. But my stage name is Jekurmon. I do music. Music had been my guiding point. It's my aspiration and I major on Rap music.
THEO: Tell us about your growing up.
JEKURMON: My growing up had been full of challenges. So many challenges. It not easy on the street trying to make music especially this part of the world where I am in. But I am very grateful for God mercy and blessings.
THEO: I will still take you back your growing up. Thus your background, school and parents. The numbers of kids your parents have.
JEKURMON: I grew up from average religious background. From childhood, I don't like music. I wasn't passionate about music. I finally discovered my talents when I left secondary school. During my secondary school days, I read poems and poetry. It was poems and poetry that triggered the talent. I never knew I will become a musician. It was poems and poetry that develops the talent in me.
When I left secondary school, I was jobless. The hardship also made me discovered my talent. I am someone that express what I do.
THEO: You haven't told us about your parents and siblings.
JEKURMON: I told few minutes ago that I came from an average religious background. My have four children. Thus, two boys and two girls. I am the only one into music and entertainment in general. I have never been encourage by my parents and siblings. Nobody encouraged me. They don't see positive things in the future about music. I stood by myself. I knew I had future in music. I see clearly and from childhood, I had been a passionate dreamer. Even I see the future in my dreams. I knew I be a star from childhood.
