A last-second winner from Lionel Messi was his second goal in the biggest of moments, in a massive 3-2 win that will change the La Liga title race. The match started cagily but still with the frenetic energy that so often accompanies El Clásico, with Barcelona trying to settle into a new tactical shape given some of the injuries and suspensions they’re dealing with — most notably Neymar — and Real Madrid not wanting them to have the time or comfort to find their groove. Electricity consumers in Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos State on Saturday, decried the none repair of some of the transformers on the community mostly the transformer located at number 119 and also poor electricity supply by Eko Electric (EE) for some days now. The consumers expressed their feelings in separate interviews with Genesis Nollywood TV (GNTV) in Lagos. The hours in which electricity was supplied daily had reduced drastically. They also said that contrary to their expectations, the reduction in supply was not accompanied by reduction in monthly billing by the company. A resident of Ogunlana Drive, said the inconsistent power supply in the area had become ”dehumanising. By AGENCIES Russia’s Supreme Court has ruled that Jehovah’s Witnesses is an extremist organization and ordered the state to seize its property in Russia, according to Russian news media. The court, after six days of hearings, ordered the closure of the group’s Russia headquarters and its 395 local chapters. Interfax news agency quoted Sergei Cherepanov, a Jehovah’s Witnesses representative, as saying that the group will appeal the decision in the European Court of Human Rights. “We will do everything possible,” he said. Russian authorities have put several of the group’s publications on a list of banned extremist literature and prosecutors have long cast it as an organisation that destroys families, fosters hatred and threatens lives. 30 football fans feared dead in Calabar viewing centre tragedy.

The survivor said amid sobs, “It happened during the match between Manchester United and Anderlecht. I heard a deafening bang. I rushed out to see what was happening. The Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem, has said the state will soon decide the fate of the founder of Christian Praying Assembly, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, popularly known as Rev. King, and other prisoners on death row in the state. Kazeem, who disclosed this on Tuesday, said he had been in talks with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode lately following his recent visit to prisons across the state. He said the feedback he got from the prisons authorities was that something must be done about the condemned prisoners as many of them had started demanding privileges. He said there was also the fear that failure to execute condemned prisoners might send a wrong signal to criminals out there that the state did not have the will to execute those who committed capital offences.
