DOUBLE DEKOI is a true life story of Amanda (Abimbola ESTHER-Modella BBN) who visits her younger brother, Steve (Baaj Adebule), in prison to hear his side of the story. Steve has been convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.
After listening to her brother's story, Amanda realizes it is a set up by the same organization that killed her father. StarCity Properties Ltd is an Estate Development firm on the outside.
But on the inside, the company engages on illegal activities like drug and human trafficking. When Amanda's father realized what the company was really about, he threatened to go to the police if they don't stop.
StarCity Properties Ltd had two choices, either to disengage from it's criminal activities or remove Mr. Bankole from the face of the earth.
They chose the latter. Now, StarCity Properties Ltd is a criminal organization ran by the blood thirsty Madam Seggy (Sola Sobowale), whose only daughter (Ojumu Christiana - Christi O BBN) is a renowned Police Inspector, Betty. Now, there is a potentially incriminating documents Mr. Bankole hid somewhere before his demise.
StarCity Properties Ltd want that recording by all means. That is why they set up Bankole's only son, Steve, hoping to propose a deal to the young man in exchange for his freedom.
Convinced that her brother is innocent, Amanda decides to infiltrate the Double Dekoi (StarCity Properties Ltd).
She sends her mother (Franca Brown) to Abuja and joins her cousin, who lives in the ghetto.
Amanda recruit her cousin, Jaspa (Nwekete Bright Chidi-BBN) and the funny Flecky (Seyitan Adeyemi). And together, they infiltrate the Cartel, in search of evidence that could set Steve free.
Nnamdi E. Odunze spoke to Genesis Nollywood TV about the movie. "DOUBLE DEKOI" is intriguing, hilarious, action packed and suspense- filled. But above all, the lessons are priceless."
"I played the role of the ruthless Madam Seggy. Sola Sobowale said to Genesis Nollywood TV. While Kanayo O. Kanayo played the role of Don Makaika. StarCity Properties Ltd, is an ostensibly legitimate estate development firm we own and we are involved in many illegal activities. Amanda’s father uncovered the truth and was silenced by our organization. You need to watch the full movie at the cinema to get the full gist." She laughed as she concluded.
Hilda Dokubo quickly spoke to Genesis Nollywood TV while giggling. "I am giggling because I was much amused by Tony Akposheri's comic acting alongside with me. He brought that good acting spirit in me professionally. DOUBLE DEKOI! Hmm. I can't wait to go into the cinema with family and friends to watch the movie." She added still giggling.
"DOUBLE DEKOI is the number one Nollywood movie in the cinemas right now. It's going to be number one at the box office too before Christmas and beyond, throughout 2024." Zeb Ejiro, the Master director said.
Nollywood curvy actress and screen goddess Angela Phillips said "I acted the part of Ego" She laughed. You know Ego in Igbo language means money. I love money and acting the part of Ego gave me joy all through the shoot. Ego is a smart lady behind Sola Sobowale and Kanayo O. Kanayo. DOUBLE DEKOI is the current Nollywood number 1 cinema movie and it's a must watch movie for all lovers of good movies." She rounded up.
"The movie is very entertaining and interesting. I love the comics in it mostly the baba parts. Lot's of lessons to be learnt from the movie. Yes, it's very educative. I give a 5 star to Nnamdi E. Odunze, the producer and director of DOUBLE DEKOI." Lilian Bach, a superstar Nollywood actress added.
