It was a wonderful experience for all those who came to the birthday party of the CEO and owner of Memento Magnum International Lounge a day after April Fool's Day. Thus 2nd April 2022.
"I didn't plan for the birthday party. I was surprised to see different kinds of cake, big, small, huge and coloured been usher alongside champagne to my table at the VIP session by waitresses and my love ones" Mr Mellamby Ileogben said with excitement.
"I felt like a new born baby celebrating my birthday with my family, friends and customers in Memento International Magum Lounge" Mr Mellamby Ileogben went on.
"With the issues and challenges we face on daily basis in Nigeria, we should always give thanks to God Almighty hence I decided to accept the surprised birthday party. So I celebrated my birthday and be happy" Mr Mellamby Ileogben added.
Mr Chidi who was with Mr Mellamby Ileogben quickly cut in. "I am happy as well to be with my brother and my friend Mr Mell. Yes, I call him Mell on his plus one birthday.
DJ XD Beat on the wheel of steel started a wonderful play list mixed up with Western and Nigerian jams as the birthday party began.
DJ Kelvinator took over from DJ XD Beat and he played a common birthday song for Mr Mellamby Ileogben while all present sang and danced to.
MC Barthopoly had the microphone, hyping the birthday party with his unique voice.
Reports reached Genesis Nollywood about some of the operation of Memento International Magnum Lounge which had been running for years.
Memento International Magnum Lounge is one of the first and oldest lounge in Surulere and in Lagos State in general.
Memento as it is fondly called, is the only lounge that runs everyday in Surulere which is an advantage to those who decides when to relax, wine and dine.
With wonderful programs on each day, Memento become the daily bus stop of all fun seekers within and outside Surulere.
"I stayed in Abuja and whenever I traveled to Lagos, Memento is my relaxation point" a customer said.
"Me too" another customer said. "Memento have that feel of comfort, relaxation, good music, foods and drinks"
"As I am speaking with you right now, the environment outside is filled with people wanting to enter Memento because it is the very place to enjoy yourself" A lady said
"The security arrangement in Memento is one of the best among all the lounges I have gone to" a lady customer simply known as Kemi said.
"The men of the OP MESA of the Nigerian Army and the RRS of the Nigerian Police Force alongside with heavy chested bouncers and some regular security personnels gives me the safe environment I love while clubbing at Memento" an elderly man said.
"If you are not in Memento any of the days it operates, you are missing" a customer said.
Just as it was stated above, Memento runs everyday.
Sundays is dedicated to Old School. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are Karaoke. Thursdays is also Ladies Night. Heavy Metal Music starts after the Mondays and Tuesdays karaoke. On Fridays is the TGIF (Thank God Is Friday) night with Heavy Metal Music. Saturdays is comedy night with Mr Makati with Heavy Metal Music as well.
Memento has its own House Rules and it is very important for you to know them in order to avoid stoppage at the main entrance.
Memento House Rules.
1. Age limit 18 years and above.
2. No sleeveless and slippers.
3. No weapon (sharp objects, spray and fireworks).
4. No hard drugs.
5. No smoking of any banned substance.
6. No loitering/idle sitting.
7. No food and drink from outside.
8. No climbing of seats and tables while dancing.
9. No fighting.
10. No Memento property should be taken outside the lounge.
11. Memento will not take responsibility for any lose of stolen items.
12. Memento reserve the right to refuse entry and or service to anyone for any reason.
For those that comes to Memento on daily basis, they are advised to memorize the House Rules as well.
Memento operates as lounge, club, casino and hotel.
