MARY ODIETE-AFE an iconic woman as a gift at Christmas on celebration of life.

Madam Mary Acormirere Afe (late) was born on the 16th of August 1942 to the family of late Pa. Joseph Ogheneguake Odiete of Adagbrassa Elume and Madam Agnes Agbanukwe Abiekunogho Odiete of Adagbrassa Elume, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria Madam Mary Odiete-Afe (as formally called) grew up under the nice care of her parents that had all it takes to instill good moral training of their children. In 1964, she got married to Late Pa. Samson Afe at St. William Catholic Church Orerokpe, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State. She was an active member of the following societies in the church. Catholic Women Organization (C.W.O) and Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary. The marriage was blessed with (5) five children, (4) four female and (1) male. She worked as Community Development Assistance in the ministry of Social Development, Youth Sports and Culture and Owned a private nursery school called Mary Models Nursery & Primary School, Orerokpe. She retired on the 14th of December 1990. Madam Mary Odiete-Afe believed in God and her faith was very strong in Jesus Christ until her death which took place on the 19th December 2017. She will be greatly missed by her surviving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters etc. Mama rest in peace until resurrection day when we shall meet to part no more. She is survived by Mr. Lewis Okoh, Mrs. Judith Okolie, Mrs. Lilian Francis, Mr. Theophilus Afe, Miss Okiemute Afe including Duke Lewis, Mark Lewis, Ijoma Lewis, Chikam Lewis, Gideon Lewis, Precious Umueroh, Ese Okolie, Favour Umueroh, Godfirst Lewis, Godgift Lewis, Excellent Lewis also including Miracle Lewis, Grace Lewis. Service of Songs was done in honour of Madam Mary Odiete-Afe on Thursday 21st December 2017 at St. William Catholic Church Orerokpe which began by 5pm The Funeral Service for Madam Mary Odiete-Afe took place on Friday 22nd December 2017 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Adagbrassa, Elume which began by 10am. The funeral was very successful and well attended by the Odiete family, Afe family, friends and well wishers including Orerokpe and Adagbrassa communities. Thanks Giving Mass was held on Sunday 24th December 2017 at St. William Catholic Church Orerokpe led by Theophilus Afe a Movie/TV Producer/Director & Editor of Genesis Nollywood and Okiemute Afe, who are children of Madam Mary Odiete-Afe on behalf of other children supported by members of the church.
