A house wife resident in Wadata area of Makurdi is currently under investigation by the Benue State Police Command for allegedly killing her three-year-old step daughter.
Witnesses said yesterday that the lifeless body of Khadija Abdulrahman, the three-year-old who went missing on Tuesday was found yesterday in an uncompleted building around Wadata. It was learnt that family members and neighbours made several efforts to find the child whose mother was divorced from the father earlier but to no avail.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Moses Yamu, who confirmed the recovery of the deceased baby girl in an uncompleted building near River Benue, added that a woman was arrested on suspicion and that investigation had begun to determine whether or not she was responsible for the killing of the baby.
