Nigerian music star, Davido, has revealed why he is yet to get married to his fiancee, Chioma Rowland. Davido, 27, who opened up in a rare interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio live, said their highly-anticipated wedding will now hold in 2021. Although earlier last year and in this year, the rumour mill went wild that the lovers had parted ways over infidelity, Davido debunked their claims in the interview. He said, ‘‘Honestly, Coronavirus messed plans up because it was meant to be in July last year. I have decided it will be some time this year. For now, I want her to work on her business while I work on my album and the kids. I want everything to balance first.” The singer, who popped the question to Chioma in September 2019, 10 days after their families had an introduction in Lagos, has been quiet about their relationship for a while now. Tonto Dikeh not appointed ambassador –Christian commission

The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Rev Yakubu Pam, disclosed this in a statement on Friday night. Lagos court fines 172 arrested at Cubana nightclub N6.8m.

A mobile court sitting at the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences Enforcement Unit in Oshodi has convicted 172 persons arrested by the state police command for violating COVID-19 protocols. The state police command said on Monday that the presiding judge ordered each of the 172 violators to pay a fine of N40,000, and also sentenced them to community service. The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, had while parading them at the command headquarters in Ikeja, said the 172 persons were arrested during a raid on the Cubana Nightclub, Victoria Island, on Saturday. Odumosu said, “Despite all the efforts and COVID-19 policies being rolled out by the government, most youths, who are leaders of tomorrow, still find it difficult to comply.
