CBS has announced its first edition of "Celebrity Big Brother." The new show will be be hosted by Julie Chen, who also hosts the long-running reality show, "Big Brother." The show's premise is to gather together a group of strangers to live in a house where they are under 'round-the-clock surveillance. They are cut off from the outside world, and "houseguests" are systematically voted out of the house. Next year will mark "Big Brother's" 20th season, but to honor it's motto -- "expect the unexpected" -- producers aren't making fans wait till next summer for more of their favorite show. Hurricane Irma Killed 3 People In Caribbean As Florida, Georgia, SC Prepare For Storm.

Hurricane Irma lashed the Caribbean today, causing at least three deaths, while farther north in the U.S., Florida, Georgia and South Carolina are facing states of emergency as residents brace for the monster storm. This afternoon, the Category 5 storm dubbed "extremely dangerous" by the National Hurricane Center (NHC), was battering the Caribbean, destroying about 90 percent of the structures and vehicles on Barbuda, officials said. The storm has sustained winds of 185 mph and even higher gusts. In St. Martin and St. Barthelemy, at least two people died and at least two others were seriously wounded, according to a spokesperson for France’s ministry for its overseas territories. At least one person died in Barbuda, where there is widespread damage, said Midcie Francis, a spokeswoman for Antigua & Barbuda’s National Office of Disaster Services. By Shehab Khan. A man’s parents reportedly flew from India to Florida to “discipline” his wife for “being disobedience". Authorities rescued the mother of a one-year-old, from what they described as a “horribly abusive situation”. The woman, who has not been named, was held in her home against her will by her husband, Devbir Kalsi, 33. Police said his parents had flown to his home to participate in the abuse. Investigators believe Kalsi and his parents, Jasbir and Bhupinder Kalsi, had been abusing the woman for a long period of time. The arrest report said Kalsi struck her “repeatedly and forcefully” and when the woman attempted to defend herself, his parents began hitting her too, leaving bruises on her face, neck and torso, The victim told her parents in India about the abuse who notified the sheriff’s office, Fox 13 news reported.
